Interakt Digital Group recently launched the Sri Padma Sundaram Foundation at the ITC Grand Chola, Chennai on October 28th 2012 marking a defining moment in the growth of the organization as an entity with a social conscience. Sri Padma Sundaram Foundation is an initiative focusing on five primary areas such as fostering culture, boosting medical research, caring for the elderly, supporting child rights and bridging the digital divide.

Shri Gopalkrishna Gandhi, Former Governor of West Bengal formally inaugurated the Foundation while Honorable Justice V. Ramasubramanian, Judge - Madras High Court, presided over the function. V. Sundaram I.A.S, (Retd.) - Chairman, R. Dakshen - Managing Trustee and other esteemed guests attended the launch.

The ceremony included the release of the book "Elegies on Padma" written by V. Sundaram I.A.S, which was then followed by a speech from Shyama Swaminathan, eminent Tamil writer.

The function concluded with a grand musical performance by the Sangita Kalanidhi Bombay Sisters - Shrimathi C.Saroja and Shrimathi C. Lalitha.

With the clarity of vision from its trustees, the enthusiastic support of the Foundation members and the encouragement of the public, the Foundation hopes to contribute to a world that is more inclusive, humane and open, offering equal opportunities for all.
